Experience on Home Studying During
Covid-19 Pandemic
I
have felt online learning since last year. This is the second semester for me
to undergo the online learning process. talk hard? it is indeed difficult to
adapt to changes in the offline learning system by meeting in class and
immediately on the online system where all discussion and examination work is
all using the online system. Sometimes boredom also comes because the learning
process is only staring at the screen continuously, unable to interact with
friends, and also the lecturers. Not to mention the internet connection problem
which sometimes becomes a barrier in running this online classroom system. and
it becomes a serious problem during the test process but the internet
connection is not stable.
In
the early days of running an online learning system, of course there were some
difficulties experienced, such as in understanding the material presented,
especially the material that was only delivered by uploading material files, so
you had to understand it independently. The difficulty is when there is
material about logical analysis or calculation questions which require a
detailed explanation from the lecturer.
One
of the problems that often occurs in this online class system is that students
are sometimes not focused and neglectful of the deadlines for submitting
assignments. This is because every student must keep updating the assignment
collection information on the site that has been provided. Therefore, internet
service facilities must always be available properly, but not all students who
undergo this online learning system have sufficient internet facilities. so in
my opinion, this is one of the weaknesses of online learning systems
Online
exams are also often deemed ineffective in educating student character,
especially honesty. because online examination supervision still experiences
many obstacles and shortcomings because there is still less implementation of
more optimal supervision. Of course this is with the hope that the results of
student examinations purely reflect the academic quality of each student.
Honestly,
sometimes I feel bored and bored in undergoing online learning as it is today.
Because the activities carried out are of course mostly just staring at the
computer screen, and every day within a few hours it will continue to be like
that and be repeated. It is natural for students to feel bored and bored due to
the lack of interaction with lecturers and classmates, which of course is due
to being limited by online facilities. Therefore there should be an innovation
that can make the online learning process that has been running for more than 1
year so that it is more interesting and does not have a saturation effect.
The
way that can be done is perhaps with a more interactive lecturer in providing
material such as with the addition of a blackboard so that it will add a more
detailed learning impression than just a powerpoint slide show. Especially in
the material for calculating numbers. besides that this method will also have
an effect on a sense of learning like in class in general offline before this
pandemic.
I
and of course all the other students really hope that the pandemic will quickly
pass and things will return to normal, with the hope that we can return to
doing offline learning as before
